Essential Oils help with West Nile Virus

By

The number of cases of West Nile Virus is at the highest level since 1999. The pesticides used for mosquito control can be toxic to the environment and to people and their pets. Ironically, the symptoms of pesticide exposure are very much like the symptoms of West Nile Virus – compromised brain function and peripheral neuropathy. Thank goodness there are natural alternatives. Apply Young Living’s single essential oils like Citronella, Lemongrass (be sure to dilute), Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Lavender, or Cedarwood or oil blends like Purification or Thieves. You can use them on your pets too. Just put a drop or two in your hands, rub together and then run your hands over your pet. These same oils will repel fleas and ticks. You can make a natural flea collar by applying a few drops to a bandana and putting it around your pet’s neck or applying a couple drops to the nape of their neck.  Written by Janice McGrath.
